# Understanding the Whitelist System

Versatile employs a robust whitelist system that uses two distinct methods to authenticate your account and ensure your identity. These methods are:

  • HWID (Hardware ID) checks
  • Account checks

# Account Checks

When you register or log in to Versatile, your login details are securely stored in the Login folder. This allows Versatile to automatically use these credentials for future logins without requiring you to re-enter your password.

We also store the last IP address you used to log in. This information is used to prevent multi-accounting, fraud, and to whitelist you for our ProxyPool. Additionally, we store your HWID.

While your Versatile login only requires a username and password, we store information about the key and email you used to register. This is useful if you ever forget your password. We also link keys to the Discord accounts that redeem them, enabling us to automatically connect your Discord account to your Versatile account. This feature allows you to reset your HWID remotely.

# HWID Checks

HWID, short for Hardware ID, is a unique code that represents your computer. Each time you use Versatile, your HWID is sent to our servers. This helps us ensure that Versatile isn't being shared among multiple PCs, as it can only be used on one PC at a time.

To use Versatile on a different PC, you need to reset your HWID. You can find instructions on how to do this on another page.

⚠️ Important: We only allow you to reset your HWID every 24 hours. This means you can only switch PCs once a day.
